Lion, London Zoo

by Henry Stuart on Sep.01, 2009, under Photoblog

This Lion was being held in a separate enclosure while they cleaned his main area. He wasn’t best pleased, pacing backwards and forwards at the entrance. When he saw me (just seconds after this shot) he charged and jumped at the glass – I very nearly dropped my camera (and something else!). Apparently he objects to big cameras says the zoo keeper. Noted!

by Henry Stuart on Jul.24, 2009, under Photoblog

This guy seems to be pretty wel known, I’m sure I’ve seen him in the papers/on TV before. He does a terrific uber camp performance. Here he grabbed this chaps ear, the guy didn’t look too happy at first but then broke in to a smile and tried to grab the whistle.

Passing the fourth plinth yesterday – Antony Gormley’s living monument on Trafalgar Square and saw this chap up there holding different thoughts up on paper. As a hirsute gentleman myself it hit a cord!

London from the London Eye – HDR

by Henry Stuart on Jul.03, 2009, under Photoblog

Took this shot from the London Eye during the ‘EyeTweet’ event, it had been a beautiful day and the sun was just getting to the height in London where it shows that very picturesque smog! This photo is done with very heavy HDR (High Dynaamic Range) techniques.
